Diamonds at Israel-Diamonds.com - FAQ
How can I be sure you don't have any conflict diamonds?
Israel is a signatory to the Kimberley Process Certification scheme. Kimberley certification mandates that signatory countries will only import and export rough diamonds which have documentation to prove that they do not originate in countries where diamonds are routinely used as a currency of war. The seller hereby guarantees that these diamonds are conflict free, based on personal knowledge and and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds.
How do I know that I'll get the actual diamond I ordered?
Each diamond has its own particular characteristics. Any experienced jeweler will be able to confirm that the diamond you ordered is the diamond you received. In fact, we encourage you to have the authenticity of your diamond verified by a local diamond jeweler.
Will the diamond I am considering buying sparkle?
We know how important sparkle is and we check each and every diamond to ensure that it sparkles beautifully. Of course, the sparkle-factor depends on each diamond's own unique characteristics, including cut, symmetry, table depth etc.
Why are some of your photos of the actual diamond and others of sample diamonds?
We have thousands of diamonds in our inventory. It takes time to photograph every one. It's as simple as that.
I'm not sure what shape is best - can you help me decide?

Gemstones at Israel-Diamonds.com - FAQ
What is the difference between precious gemstones and semi-precious gemstones?
The rarest gems are classified as precious gemstones. This includes diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and rubies. All other gemstones are classified as semi-precious.
Where do your emeralds, rubies and sapphires come from?
We import our sapphires from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and Africa. Our emeralds are sourced in Colombia and Zambia. Our ruby inventory comes from Burma and Thailand.
Are your gemstones treated in any way?
Yes, most of our gemstones are thermally treated according to recognized industry standards. This is accepted practice by all the leading gemstone laboratories.
Can I get a professional report on a gemstone?
If the gemstone does not have a report we will be happy to arrange an EGL report for an additional charge of $100 per carat with a minimum of $79.00. Most gemstones do not have reports because such reports do not provide any added value to buyers. Usually no gemstone ratings appear in the report and the only information listed is the measurements and origin of the stone.

Each gemstone has its own particular characteristics. Any experienced jeweler will be able to confirm that the gemstone you ordered is the gemstone you received. In fact, we encourage you to have the authenticity of your gemstone verified by a local gemstone jeweler.
