Case Study - Emerald Wedding Set With Diamonds

Having the privilege of helping our customers create truly unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of heirloom jewelry is one of the greatest honors we at Israel-Diamonds.com have. So, when one of our customers came to us with a request to help her replace her lost wedding band set with a new emerald and diamond creation, our master designers were thrilled to assist.
While we’re the experts at creating stunning, custom designs, some requests can prove rather challenging. After all, creating the perfect design to replace a beloved wedding set that had been lost is quite a tall order indeed. The design not only had to capture the client’s heart, but also live up to the memory of what once was.
It Began With an Email
The customer reached out to us with a simple brief email, a few suggestions from our existing collection and a budget. That first email made it clear, however, she was looking for a setting that would catch the eye while ”remaining simple and elegant.”
Those clues were enough to set our designers to work, coming up with ideas to make her dream rings reality while also sticking to her budget.
To make sure, we sent her a few examples:
We were on the right track! Here’s what she had to say: “These sets are beautiful. My favorites are the two on the right. I absolutely love the one on the lower right. It's my favorite. I like the high setting stone. It's so elegant. Will you be able to set the stone that we chose in this ring?”
After a few emails back and forth, the perfect setting was decided upon with the client’s blessing to proceed. Here is the final design she fell in love with:
The Process
With the client’s delighted approval of the design, our craftsman went to work creating custom wax molds for the center ring with its stunning emerald focal point and the diamond wrap to go around it.
The Center Stone
An exquisite 2.54 ct. grass green emerald was selected for the center stone, while a host of smaller diamonds were carefully chosen for the wrap. Both rings were created using beautiful 18K white gold at the customer’s request.
We were so excited about the selection of the emerald and its perfectly cut design, we even created a video to show off its brilliance before placing it in its final setting:
The Result
When it all came together, the results took our client’s breath away – and ours, too!
“I received the most beautiful ring today,” she wrote us. “I’m in love with it. My very own design. Can’t stop looking at it.”
