Multi Stone Ruby & Diamonds Ring - Case Study

At Israel-Diamonds, creating beautiful custom, handmade jewelry is our specialty. We
take pride in our ability to meet our clients’ needs, and provide them with a beautiful,
one-of-a-kind item they will be delighted with. We have helped many people, but you
don’t have to take our word for it; here, we’d like to share the story of one of our many
happy customers.
The process started with an email:
I am looking for a ring like uploaded pic, but with a ruby center stone. I do
very much like a stone on your website (Item #28942: 1.27 carat emerald
cut). Any help would be greatly appreciated, as local prices (Ohio, USA) for
something like this are very high!
To begin, we had to find the right stones.
The Ruby:
The client made this part easy, since they’d already done their homework! We went
with the stone mentioned in the email; a breathtaking pinkish-red, emerald cut ruby.
This 1.27-carat Burmese stone was exactly what our client wanted, and was the perfect
choice for the type of setting she was looking for.
The Side Stones:
The ruby is the star of this ring, but the diamond accents provide outstanding visual
support.
These 8 round diamonds, with a total carat weight of 0.25, draw the eye in by
creating a brilliant sparkle and shine around the red center stone.
The Setting:
To create a custom ring, you need a custom setting. To do this, professional jewelers
create a mold from wax. They then cover the wax with a special plaster, heat it, and remove the melted wax. The wax is replaced with gold, which forms in the exact shape
of the original wax mold.
This is exactly the process we used to create this gorgeous ruby and diamond ring. As
you can see, this is the wax mold we used:
The Final Ring:
With all of the elements put together, the end result is a unique, handmade,
breathtaking ring that meets every one of the client’s specifications.
We were thrilled with the results, but became even more thrilled when we learned how
delighted the client was, too! After seeing the first images, she wrote:
After scouring the web for reviews of your company, I could only find
extremely pleased customers and excellent references!
