4 Of The World’s Most Expensive Diamonds
Some of the world’s most exquisite diamonds are often sold at auctions for amounts far beyond the reach of average buyers. These diamonds are huge by normal standards, while an average diamond used in engagement rings is 1.18 carats, diamonds of more than 10-13 carats are usually sold in auctions. Some of the world’s most expensive loose diamonds include:

The Koh-i-Noor:

The Koh-i-Noor Diamond The Koh-i-Noor has been a source of frequent diplomatic clashes between three countries: India, Pakistan, and Great Britain. The original diamond was said to be mined in the Golconda mines in the South of India during the 1300s. It has since changed several hands, including the Mughals, Persians, and the Sikhs who later gifted it to Queen Victoria. The original diamond weighed around 186 carats but was later polished to its current 105.6 carats. It is difficult to estimate the value of the Kohinoor, considering its unique history, D-color & IF clarity. It is a part of the royal crown jewels which is estimated to be around 10 to 12 billion dollars.
